Menaced by Barbarian hordes, the Roman Empire is faced with a day of reckoning. In Rome: Total War, players can choose from 18 factions to defend Rome or lead the charge for its destruction.

Players can also take on the role of a formidable Barbarian tribe and invade the Roman Empire. With the ability to form a horde, you can capture or sack settlements across the map.
